Swaziland experimented a growth rate of 0,3% in 2017 and is going to face serious challenges in the futur with an estimated growth of 1,3% in 2018 and 2% in 2019. Other key indicators of the economy for 2017:
- 34 billions of GDP;
- Gross national saving equal to 11.1% of GDP;
- Inflation rate equal to 7%;
- 5% of GDP comes from taxes;
- Active population: 427.000 persons;
- 28% of unemployment.
A big plan of development is active until 2022 and gives priority to infrastructures, agricultural production and the diversification of the economy. Other major goals are the reduction of poverty and of public expenses.
