R4 Billion Oceans Mall Constructed in Umhlanga

Development is in progress on the R4 billion mixed-use Oceans mall construction in Umhlanga. The construction composes a world-class shopping mall with more than a hundred stores, permanent residence, with a new Radisson Blu hotel.

Two of Africa’s largest state of the art retailers anchor the mall. The mall will also offer some specialty stores and international super brands like Burberry, Versace, Paul Smith and Armani. Leisure and entertainment activities like Cinemas, Snow Park, Virgin Active and twenty world-class restaurants will also be available in the mall.

There will be 209 room hotel, 40 deluxe long-stay residential and two accommodation rooms. The mall brags about 800-seater, big conference facility which includes six breakaway room for luxurious meeting points. Two residential towers consisting of 444 apartments and penthouse will also be included in the Oceans during construction. The construction is supposed to be completed by June 2020.

The ocean is not the only multi-million rand project taking place in Umhlanga, KPMG just announced that it would be starting an R220 million head office in the region, alongside the R1.5 billion Umgeni Deco and Lifestyle Park, The R1 billion Park Square and the R660 million Arch project are also setting up within the region.
